Bangladesh Glaucoma Society (BGS) was formed in 2007 with its 28 founder members. An executive board was formed with Prof. M. Mustafizur Rahman as president. The main objectives of the society are: Since its inception BGS holds seminar, symposium, Ralley, Radio & TV talk show specially on World Glaucoma Day and Week to increase awareness among the general population of Bangladesh. To upgrade the skills of BGS members regular CME is held in different districts of the country. BGS organizes Annual National Conferenc every year. The society now has 65 life members.
